Dan & Komal
From two corners of the world to one shared adventure — a few pages from our album before we say “I do” in Udaipur.
Chapter One
Komal grew up in India, Dan in Ireland — two childhoods, two languages of home, an ocean and a continent apart. Long before we ever met, our stories were already being written on opposite sides of the world.
Chapter Two
It started with a match on Hinge
We matched on Hinge, where Dan opened with a Taylor Swift song lyric. Thankfully, Komal replied. What started as a few messages became non-stop texting, but timing had other plans: Komal was heading to India for several weeks, and Dan had Japan lined up for his own travels. By the time they finally met in person five weeks later, they already knew each other inside and out—which made that first date feel less like a first meeting and more like coming home.
Chapter Three
Over the years, we’ve had many adventures with travel across the world. All over Ireland, then Italy, France and Slovakia—and across India, from Mumbai to Sikkim, Delhi to Kolkata. A passport full of stamps and a phone full of memories.

Ask us about the time Dan flew all the way to Delhi for Komal’s sister’s wedding, disguised as “a friend of a colleague”, to avoid raising family suspicions.
Chapter Four
Loving each other has meant learning each other’s worlds — the food, the festivals, the music, and more than a few outfits we’d never have imagined wearing.
We’ve come to treasure both, and our wedding is where they finally meet: an Irish heart and an Indian soul, celebrating as one.

Chapter Five
Then came the question, the yes, and the very happy chaos of planning a wedding across two families and two countries.
The spot we chose to make it official — a place we’ll never forget.
One ring, one question, and absolutely no doubt at all.
The very happy chaos that followed — calls, celebrations and a wedding to plan.
Chapter Six
Of all the places we’ve wandered, we couldn’t imagine saying our vows anywhere but Udaipur — the City of Lakes, where palaces float on the water and every evening turns gold.
It’s the perfect backdrop for the next chapter. The only thing missing is you.
